The Global Health Network and Global Research Nurses (GRN) are delighted to announce an upcoming Research Capacity Strengthening Workshop tailored for nurses working in Level Two Teaching Hospitals across Rwanda. This initiative aims to equip nurses with essential research knowledge and practical skills needed to translate clinical practice into evidence that informs policy and improves patient outcomes.

Target Audience

This workshop is specifically designed for:

  • Nurses holding a Master’s degree in various nursing specialties
  • Nurses currently working in Level Two Teaching Hospitals in Rwanda

What Participants Will Learn

By the end of the workshop, participating nurses will be able to:

  • Explain key research methodologies — gain foundational knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research designs.
  • Apply principles of research ethics — understand ethical considerations and how to conduct responsible research.
  • Formulate clear, researchable questions and objectives aligned with clinical priorities.
  • Demonstrate practical data skills — hands-on techniques in data collection, management, and basic analysis.
  • Communicate research findings effectively — improve skills in interpreting, writing, and presenting research for impact.
