Congratulations to Dr Jeyaseelan Devadason for receiving a National Florence Nightingale Award on International Nurses’ Day! In February 2013 Dr Jeyaseelan organised a Study Day in partnership with the Global Research Nurses’ network. We are delighted to hear that Dr Jeyaseelan has received a National Florence Nightingale Presidential Award, on the occasion of International Nurses’ Day on May 12th. Every year on International Nurses day, National Florence Nightingale awards are given at Rashtrapathy Bhavan (President’s House) in New Delhi. This year, 2013, Dr Jeyaseelan Devadason from the Annai JKK Sampoorani Ammal College of Nursing in Namakkal, Erode in Tamil Nadu was one among 35 recipients of that award from all the states of India. It is given to Auxiliary Nurse Midwives, Health Visitors, Staff Nurses and Nursing Educators. Congratulations from the Global Research Nurses network!
