African midwives have your voices heard! We want to help support midwives in the every-day realities you experience in providing quality care to women and newborns.
Last year, as part of a WHO, WRA and ICM collaboration on empowerment, safety and respect of midwives, we asked member associations and midwives around the world to make their voice heard via an online survey about every-day realities and working conditions of midwives.
The WHO draft report that compiles the responses revealed that of the 2,055 midwives only 64 of the respondents were from Africa. This means that the report is unbalanced, and African midwives are now under-represented. We give the opportunity to you African Midwives, to make your voice heard and be included in the report.
- Please complete this short questionnaire by the 27th February so ICM-WRA-WHO can share this unique global survey and then develop evidence based guidance for countries.
