About: I am currently working as an Assistant professor and HOD (Department of Nursing Research) with; PI of national and international fellowships and funded projects, recipient of 8 awards, author of 21 publications and 3 book chapters. My achievements are; Developed a research design ‘Health Systemic Determinants Research’ (HSDR) framework for early career Health Policy and System Researchers in LMICs • Worked as an Independent Research Consultant, Access Health International, New York, USA (India HPSR Fellowship) • Awardee of India Health Policy and System Research Fellow • Awardee of National Child Rights and Research Fellow, selected as a child rights researcher who will promote & advocate for child rights at the national level by Child Rights and You (CRY), New Delhi • Nursing theorist (contributed a nursing theory, which is considered as the first nursing theory developed in India) • Contributed to the three conceptual models in nursing through research • Developed a standardized tool ‘Adolescent Boys Stress Questionnaire (ABSQ-2015) • Introduced the design ‘Phenomenography’ in qualitative nursing research in India • Professional Nursing Blogger since 2015– understandnursing.blogspot.com • Recipient of four best scientific paper awards at the national (03) and international (01) levels • Did exemplary research work on Child sex abuse and the need for revision of POCSO act and results/recommendations • Did exemplary research work on the revision of Indian dowry laws • Did exemplary research work to explore the lived experience of victims during South Indian floods 2015 (Chennai) and developed a Concatenated Disaster Crisis model which shows the sequence of crisis experience of victims and suggested recommendations for the disaster mitigation, and presented the findings in the International conference at CMC, Vellore in Collaboration with The Asia Pacific Emergency and Disaster Nursing Network (APEDNN) and awarded as the best paper by the scientific community comprised of WHO SERO Former Coordinator with 900 delegates from 15 countries • Worked as BLS and ACLS clinical instructor (2011-2015), Indian Institute of Emergency Medical Services (IIEMS), Kerala
