About: I am Nigusie Selomon Tibebu (Tibebu Nigusie Selomon while utilizing my family name). I've been a full-time employee for teaching, research, and community activities at Debre Tabor University in Ethiopia since January 2016. Nigusie Selomon Tibebu is an assistant professor who has a background in pediatrics and child health. He has experience conducting research and teaching at higher education institutions. His principal duties as an academician at a prestigious higher education institution in Ethiopia include teaching and learning, research and community engagement, and technology transfer. He has shown ability in research design, data collection, data entry, data management, and data analysis (both quantitative and qualitative). He also has proven abilities in coming up with research ideas for solving problems. Additionally, he can comprehend and analyze research results. He is very interested in researching and examining issues relating to the health of people, animals, and the environment, or what is known as the One Health Approach. Through contributions to idea generation, planning, monitoring, evaluation, and execution of research projects in nutritional diseases, particularly non-communicable diseases (NCDs), with a special focus on malnutrition and its co-morbidity, in resource-constrained settings, he is determined to make a difference in implementation research and mixed methods research. His research initiatives to date have centered on malnutrition and its effects, particularly in the pediatric age group. He is proficient in using STATA, SPSS, and Open Code for both quantitative and qualitative data analytics. Currently, he is a member of the editorial boards of PLOS ONE and the GBD collaborator network, and he has published more than 22 articles (both quantitative and qualitative studies) in popular journals. He also has peer-reviewed experience from more than 18 journals. He had expertise in the building of educational programs, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and the extraction and analysis of a huge quantity of data.
