Aga Khan School of Nursing & Midwifery recruiting a Dean

AKU is an international higher education institution and has 11 sites in eight different countries. The University is part of the wider Aga Khan Development Network and works to promote welfare and equality both within the countries it operates and across the developing world, by disseminating knowledge and providing instruction, training, and research. Whilst it is an Islamic institution it is open to people from all religious backgrounds and has a strong inclusivity agenda.

Based in Nairobi, the School of Nursing and Midwifery was the first unit of the University to be setup in East Africa in 2001 and now operates one of the most well established nursing and midwifery programmes in the region. They are now looking to appoint a Dean who will have overall leadership responsibility for the academic and service mandate of the School. This person will play a key role in launching the first undergraduate nursing programmes in 2017 and in helping to pioneer a new multidisciplinary medical curriculum.
