The International Journal of Nursing Studies journal will be publishing a Special Issue devoted to language and communication issues in healthcare.

The journal would like to invite authors to submit their full manuscripts for consideration to the International Journal of Nursing Studies at http://ees.elsevier.com/ijns ‐ Submit under ‘SI: – language and communication’ by 31 August 2014

This call for papers is for a special themed issue of the International Journal of Nursing Studies dedicated to language and communication issues in healthcare and research. The aim is to publish papers which highlight research, theory, and policy that can help practitioners, organizations, and countries to reduce language barriers between patients and providers in ways that improve patient outcomes.

Fogarty International Centre funding opportunities

The overall goal of the Fogarty International Center (FIC) HIV Research Training Program is to strengthen the human capacity to contribute to the ability of institutions in eligible low- and middle-income countries (LMIC) to conduct HIV-related research on the evolving HIV-related epidemics in their country and to compete independently for research funding.
